PURPOSE:
This position, under general supervision, independently performs and is responsible for running a safe, enthusiastic women's volleyball program. In addition, this position is designed to assist the Dean of Athletics with administrative tasks, including, but not limited to, game management, eligibility, and other external functions.
Essential Functions:
Administration of all phases of a NAIA women's volleyball program including recruiting qualified student athletes.
Formulate the team's competitive schedule.
Organize and train athletes for successful and safe competition.
Keep abreast of current trends and methods by participating in clinics, workshops, etc. that contribute to professional development and self-improvement.
Adhere to college, KCAC and NAIA policies and procedures.
Foster cooperative working relationships with immediate supervisor as well as any staff or team members associated with the program.
Cooperate with other coaches in providing the optimum sports program possible under existing conditions.
Prepare timely and accurate documents i.e. travel expense statements, itineraries, etc.
Take the initiative to provide new ideas and concepts to improve the efficiency and productivity of the staff.
Support the athletic department's goals and philosophies.
Monitor and support the academic success of student athletes.
Plan and conduct pre- and post-season conditioning and training programs.
Effectively prepare, spend and manage the budget and records for the team.
Arrange team travel and meals.
Promote the sport by prompt and accurate score reporting to the local media.
Approve any stipends to assistant coaches.
Oversee the safety conditions of the facility or area in which the sport is conducted at all times.
Coordinate visits by recruits and their families.
Prepare an inventory of all equipment at the end of the season.
General upkeep and protection of equipment under the jurisdiction of the program.
Write at the end of the season an annual report evaluating the program with recommendation for improvements.
Carry out other related administrative duties as directed by the Dean of Athletics.
Participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions.
Provide continual evaluation of processes and procedures. Responsible for suggesting methods to improve area operations, efficiency and service to both internal and external customers.
Work in collaboration and cooperation with other departments and academic divisions on campus, using timely and appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding department concerns and responsibilities
Regular and satisfactory attendance and punctuality.
Perform all other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have knowledge of KCAC and NAIA policies and procedures.
Bachelor's degree Master preferred.
A results oriented candidate with the ability to handle multiple projects/assignments concurrently and who works well independently and fosters a team environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals, but includes exposure to biological hazards, bacteria, and communicable diseases. Work outside involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Frequent conference-wide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours. Work performed indoors is generally with ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
